DevOn operates website https://careers.devon.global/. As part of the services we offer, we process personal data. This privacy and cookie statement tells you which of your personal data we process and what we do with it.
Our privacy and cookie statement in brief
Your privacy is of great importance to us. We therefore comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (‘AVG’). This means that we:

- Explicitly seek consent to the processing of your personal data, should consent be required.
- Take necessary security measures to protect your personal data. We also impose these obligations on parties processing personal data for us.
- Respect your rights, such as the right to inspect, correct or delete your personal data processed with us.
For what purposes do we use your personal data?
We obtain various personal data from you. We indicate for each purpose what data we obtain from you, for what purpose we process it and for how long it is stored. If you have any questions or want to know what exactly we keep track of, please contact us. The contact details are at the bottom of this privacy and cookie statement.
Contact and complaint handling
When you send us an e-mail message, fill in the contact form on the website, contact us by phone, or contact us in any other way, you accept our offer to engage with us (execution of the agreement).
For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- Name
- Business information (if contacting from a business perspective)
- Contact details (e-mail address and phone number)
- Social media account
- Any information you enter yourself as the content of a message
We store these contact moments with the personal data you have provided for the purpose of carrying out the contact and handling your complaint if necessary.
Images
Visual material is displayed on our website. This visual material can be produced by us or by our various business partners.
To this end, we process the following personal data:

- Contact details (e-mail address and phone number)
- Images
- Any information you disclose about yourself in imagery
We do this based on your consent given to us. We will retain this information until you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Newsletters
Through our website, you can sign up for DevOn’s newsletter (consent). We send quarterly e-mail newsletter containing content like upcoming training , events, activities, ideas , best practices, Industry news and trends, important announcements etc.
For this purpose, we process your e-mail address.
We will keep your data until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Working at DevOn
Have you responded to one of our vacancies or submitted an open application? If so, we will process your personal data to process your application and in preparation for the possible conclusion of an employment contract.
For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- Contact details
- Contact details (e-mail address and phone number)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation letter
- Passport photo
- Salary indication
- References
- Any other information you enclose with your application
We keep your application data for up to 4 weeks after the position has been filled. We save these data so that we can contact you in case the position becomes available again within the probationary period. If we are unable to offer you a position at this time, we may – with your consent – keep the application data for an additional year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an e-mail. If you join us, we will save your application data in the personnel file. This file is kept for as long as you are employed by us.
A social media and internet survey may be part of the application process. This is necessary to ensure that our image is maintained when hiring new staff. We therefore do this based on our legitimate interest. For this purpose, we search your name via Google, and your profile (if any) on various social media. This, of course, insofar as these profiles are public; we will not ask you to grant us access to a protected social media page or make a connection with us. The results of the survey will be discussed with you. Should you object to this, you can indicate this to us at the time of your application.
When may we share your personal data with third parties?
DevOn only shares your data with third parties where this is permitted under current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties because:
- We have engaged them to process certain data;
- We have a legal basis for doing so;
- We are required to do so by law (e.g. if the police demand it in case of suspected crime).
The parties processing personal data on our or your behalf are:

On our website, we use social media buttons, which redirect you to the relevant social media platforms. This gives you the option to follow us and share content within the network. You will also see advertisements on your social media page. The buttons work because of pieces of code coming from the social media networks.
